ELD Nepal
The Himalayan Kingdom of Nepal was ELD's first project country, and is currently the overseas headquarters for Asia. We have been active in Nepal since 2000.
Participants from Plan International on Report and Proposal Writing Skills Course
To date, more than 2000 participants have been trained on over one 100 open workshops, as well as many more on over 100 in-house assignments. For the full story, please see our first 5-year report.

Here, ELD (known locally as The Empowerment and Learning Development Centre) continues to conduct a wide range of assignments for various I/NGOs, bilateral and multilateral organisations. Regular short training courses / open workshops are run on a range of development-related skills.
Participants from SDC on an in-house Proposal Writing training at the ELD training centre, Lalitpur
As well as programmes on our current schedule, we also run training on an as-per-need basis: as soon as sufficient participants have expressed interest, course dates can also be set and announced through the local press and by e-mail.

With the final ending of the Nepal conflict, we are now focusing on our Kathmadu as a regional training centre, and in 2007 expect to see more participants joining us from the SAARC region.
